CopperlinePlumbing · Boston
Since 1998

A small crew,
deliberately.

Nine technicians, one city, and a refusal to grow past the point where the work can be checked.

Neatly routed copper supply pipework and brass valves in the mechanical room of an old Boston home

The Position

Old houses deserve better pipe.

Most of the housing we work in was plumbed before the Second World War and modified by six people since. There are no standard runs and no clean assumptions. That is exactly why we only work here — the knowledge does not transfer, and it does not scale.

We do not run a call center, we do not sell service contracts at the door, and we do not pay commission on repairs. The technician in your basement has no financial reason to find you a bigger problem than the one you have.

History

Twenty-eight years.

  1. 1998

Ray Cormier takes his master license and starts running service calls out of a single van in Dorchester.

  2. 2006

First whole-home repipe in Back Bay. The plaster-restoration standard that still defines our quotes starts here.

  3. 2014

Trenchless equipment added. We stop subcontracting sewer work and stop passing the markup along.

  4. 2021

Overnight staging begins. Two trucks hold parts through the winter so burst lines get a permanent fix on the first visit.

  5. 2026

Nine technicians. Still no call center, still no commissioned salespeople knocking on your door.

The People

Dana Whitfield

Answers the overnight line. Decides who gets the truck and when.

Miguel Salas

Lead Technician · Hydronics

Why Copperline

The standard, quietly held.

01

We work clean in finished homes.

Drop cloths, shoe covers, and containment before the first fitting comes off the truck. Your plaster and your floors are part of the job.

02

The price is the price.

Flat-rate quoted in writing before work starts. If the job takes longer than we estimated, that's our problem, not your invoice.

03

A real person answers at 3 AM.

Emergency calls route to a technician on the road, not an answering service that takes a message until Monday.
