One-pipe steam is common here and badly understood almost everywhere. Most 'dead' radiators are a venting and pitch problem, not a boiler problem, and the fix costs a fraction of a replacement.
Survey
Room-by-room heat loss and a full main-vent audit. We measure before anyone talks about a new boiler.
Balance
Main and radiator venting sized correctly, pitch corrected, and traps rebuilt. This alone fixes most cold-room complaints.
Replace
Boiler replacement sized to measured load — not to the nameplate of whatever oversized unit is there now.
Restore
Cast iron radiator removal, stripping, refinishing, and reinstallation with new valves and unions.

Questions
Asked often.
One room never gets warm. New boiler?
Almost never. It is usually venting or pitch on that runout. We will tell you honestly, and balancing costs a fraction of a boiler.
Can I keep my cast iron radiators?
Yes, and you should. They are better emitters than anything sold today. We restore and refinish them in any colour you like.
Can you add zones to an old system?
Usually. Hydronic systems zone easily. Steam is harder but thermostatic radiator valves get most of the way there.
